I was finally able to get some puppy pictures yesterday.   Some of the shots are better than others.  

The puppies have vet appointments in their future.  On Tuesday, 9/26 they will have their microchips done and 9/28 have their hearing testing done.

We had a jail break over the weekend!  The puppies now have their eyes open and are hearing.  They are starting to move around more but are still not really playing with toys.

 The puppies have all been growing and are now starting to open their eyes so it is time to announce the Back To The Future litter.  Mikey, the sire, is Am GCHB/ Can CH Cranbrooke Back To the Future so I thought the litter theme appropriate.  So here we go

First the boys:

Marty - formerly known as blue boy

Doc - formerly known as red boy

George - formerly known as green boy

Biff - formerly known as purple boy

Now the girls:

Jen (Jennifer) - formerly known as yellow girl

Lori (Lorraine) - formerly known as pink girl

 The puppies are growing.  The final count is 4 boys,; 2 black, 1 liver and 1 liver patch; and 2 liver girls.  

Green - liver patch boy

Red - liver boy

Pink - liver girl

Yellow - liver girl

Blue - black boy

Purple (head under the pig rail) - black boy

I still need to get a theme for the litter and give the puppies their puppy names.

 

Last night and early this morning Kali had her puppies.  She had 6 puppies, 4 boys and 2 girls.  There is one boy ear patch and all appear to be black.  However, I reserve judgement on that for a couple of days.  It is sometimes hard to tell the difference between a really dark liver and a black.

There are 6 puppies in this picture.  You can see 4 clustered in the middle eating away.  There is also one by her back leg and one that is only sort of visible underneath her head/muzzle.

Mom and babies are all doing fine.  

 Yesterday Kali went to have the x-ray that will provide information on the number of puppies.  Counting them is somewhat of an art but at least you get a general number.  Kali definitely has 4 puppies that we can see and probably a 5th hiding behind her ribs.  Whelping date is still on track for next Wednesday or Thursday, August 16-17.
